Winnalynn Nacu Kantaris represents mortgage loan sellers in CMBS transactions and concentrates her practice on commercial mortgage real estate loan transfers. She works closely with title companies and closing firms to ensure clients are compliant with governing documents and cures any loan document deficiencies.

Her securitization experience also includes private placement and public offerings backed by commercial mortgage loans, residential mortgage loans, automobile leases and credit card receivables.

Prior to joining the firm in 2014, she was a Corporate Finance associate at Kaye Scholer LLP and a Banking Finance associate at Mayer Brown LLP.  She represented financial institutions, trustees, issuers, placement agents and investors in a variety of securitizations, real estate transactions and restructurings.  In addition, she was a trust officer in Bank of America’s Global Securitization Trust Services department where she negotiated custodial agreements and reviewed commercial mortgage loan documents.

Winnie is an active alumna at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  She was elected and currently sits on the Board of Governors, is a member Dean’s Diversity Council and has been a judge for national moot court competitions.  She is an honorary board member and former officer of the Filipino American Lawyers Association of Chicago as well as the National Filipino American Lawyers Association.
