Susan Rouchka’s experience in the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securitization (CMBS) industry dates back to 2005. She has represented some of the largest CMBS mortgage lenders in the origination of conduit loans intended for securitization and has extensive experience representing CMBS loan servicers in servicing matters including defeasance, loan modifications, assignments and assumptions, consents, and leasing matters. She also has experience with distressed loans, representing lenders in loan workouts, bankruptcy, and foreclosure matters. In addition, Susan has broad experience representing lenders in a variety of agricultural and residential real estate mortgage acquisition and refinancings. She has handled loans ranging in size up to $800 million secured by commercial properties including hotel, retail, office, self-storage, multifamily, and agricultural properties across the United States.
Prior to joining the firm in 2021, Susan worked in the Real Estate Finance group at a prominent law firm in Kansas City, Missouri and on the CMBS Lending and Servicing team at a large law firm in Louisville, Kentucky.
